Able Futures mental health support service

Thank you to Natalie Kennedy at St Helens Council for sharing this information on the mental health support service which is commissioned by DWP and is for anyone in employment, apprenticeships and furloughed.

'Getting back to work while the way we live our lives continues to be affected by COVID-19 has been a challenge. There may be things playing on your mind which can leave you feeling anxious or stressed, and it’s understandable if you feel in need of some support or advice to help you build up your confidence about work or deal with any issues that are affecting your mental health.

So don’t forget you can reach out at any time to Able Futures, who deliver the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service, which can give you someone to talk to for nine months about how you can feel better.

On the Able Futures website you can read helpful articles about things you can do to help if you are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, grief or low mood in life and work after lockdown.

You can also find out more about how Able Futures is providing support from a mental health specialist via telephone or email at a time to suit you.

There’s no waiting list, so when you apply online or by calling 0800 321 3137 you’ll arrange a first appointment and have made a plan to help your mental health within 30 working days.

If you are experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, grief or stress, or are struggling to deal with problems such as debt, disrupted sleep or relationship breakdowns that may be affecting your mental health, Able Futures can help you build resilience, tackle issues, feel better and learn new ways to manage your mental health throughout the ups and downs of life.'
