Volunteering. We get it!

Volunteer Centre Halton and Volunteer Centre St Helens are committed to improving the quality of the volunteering experience for both volunteers and volunteer involving organisations from the voluntary, community and public sectors.
We help:
- People to volunteer, by managing the local end of the do-it.org website and having a friendly place for people to call into.
- Match potential volunteers to projects that inspire them with organisations that need them.
- Develop new volunteer opportunities and ensure the ones organisations offer are as inclusive and fulfilling for the volunteer as they are beneficial to the organisation.
- Explore new developments and old problems with volunteers and volunteer co-ordinators through training, forums, newsletters and email updates.
- Promote and publicise volunteering, through events, celebrations and the media.
- Highlight issues and concerns which impact on the volunteering experience, campaigning and publicising. Helping decision makers to have the fullest knowledge to draw from.
Both Centres are affiliated to Volunteering England, the National Volunteering Infrastructure Network and hold the Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation Award.
Volunteering England's website provides information and resources for all things volunteering.
