You could be a Race Champion, help with Enquiries and Administration or be a Course Marshal. The race in Wigan is in June and at Haydock in July, give us a ring for the contact details.
New Retail Volunteering Opportunity
We are a friendly charity retailer and our shop raises much needed funds to enable us to continue to provide support and services locally. We pride ourselves on our service and customer care and need enthusiastic volunteers to help with our sales, stock replenishment and cleaning duties. If you would like to work in a retail environment and with the general public then join us now. Full volunteer support and induction and on-the-job training will be given. Based in the town centre.
Coming soon: New retail volunteer opportunity in Prescot – afternoon volunteers required.
New Volunteer opportunity for 11-19’s
Develop your creative skills. Gain experience of event planning, management and promotion, meet authors, and work with publishers. Build your confidence, communication, teamwork and leadership skills. It is also an ideal opportunity to make new friends and have some fun.
Volunteering hours will be accredited and experience gained is invaluable for CVs and talking about in job interviews.
Independent Visitor
We are a national children's rights charity providing an Independent Visitor Service. We recruit, train and support volunteers to act as IVs for the eligible children and young people in their care.
Our main activities are advocacy, residential visiting and independent visiting for children and young people.
Our mission statement: "To enable children and young people to have a voice by providing independent and confidential advice, information and advocacy services"
IVs build a relationship with the child or young person they are matched with based on trust, mutual respect and shared interests. Children and young people awaiting IV's are all in care and have been separated from their families; they may be facing problems and situations which the IV may find difficult to understand however the IV needs to be patient and respectful.
