St. Helens Clinical Commissioning Group Lay Member Appointments
New NHS arrangements from 1st April 2013 will see Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) taking responsibility for planning, buying and monitoring of local NHS services and financial decisions around health care. Each CCG will be required to have a secondary care clinician on their Governing Body.
St Helens CCG is currently working in ‘shadow’ form in anticipation of being authorised as a statutory organisation. We wish to appoint 2 Lay Members to our Governing Body to represent the interests of the people of St Helens and to deliver the following roles:
• 1 Lay Member – Audit, Finance & Governance
• 1 Lay Member – Patients, Public and Community Involvement
The term of office will be for three years.
The rate of remuneration payable to Lay Members will be £7,765 per annum.
Lay members will normally devote 2 days per month to Governing Body responsibilities.
