Skilling Up – Training Programme

The new edition of the Skilling Up programme is now available with a host of exciting workshops and sessions planned to help you!

The programme gives individuals and organisations the opportunity to be better prepared, resourced and ready to manage change with workshops on offer to support your volunteers, staff and, ultimately, your organisation.

Skilling Up for Stronger Voices

The first of our programmes encourages the development of partnership, people and practical skills in order for you and your staff to feel more confident and supported in their roles.

Workshops start on the 1st September with an ‘Introduction to the Local Voluntary Community and Faith Sector’ which will enable delegates to develop greater knowledge and understanding of the services and organisations in the local area.

Skilling Up for Personalisation

Our personalisation programme begins on the 23rd September with the ‘Personalisation Conference for the Voluntary and Community Sector in St Helens’.

The conference kicks off a series of workshops specifically designed to help voluntary and community organisations understand the changes in personalisation and self directed care.

Skilling Up for Managing your Organisation

The third of our programme of workshops is designed to help those who already work in the voluntary community and faith sector, but not necessarily in a management role.

The programme focuses on developing people’s skills as they get an ‘Introduction to Running a Voluntary Organisation’. Workshops, beginning on the 22nd September, include advice on structuring, employing staff, essential policies and basic bookkeeping.

Skills Pledge Plus

Third sector employers signing the Skills Pledge can unlock a £1,000 training bursary when they implement their training plan.
