Wren Grants - URGENT
Small grants are available to St. Helens from £2,000 to £15,000 important note projects must secure 10% of the total cost of the funding committed. The grant covers Village Halls, Community Centres, Public parks and open spaces, sports clubs, public paths and towpaths, museums. Closing date 30th June 2010

(Although St. Helens is not listed on the Web Site it is an area they give grants to)

Grassroots Grants
The next round is now approaching the deadline for applications is: 9th July 2010
Grants are for between £250.00 - £5,000. and are for groups that have been established for 12 months with incomes less than £20.000. Projects should cover children and young people: healthier communities and older people: Employment and Learning skills, education or training: Urban renewal, safer and stronger communities and environment.

Police Property Act Fund
This fund is for grants of up to £5,000 for activities, which have an impact on community safety and crime reduction, please ensure that your group meets the following criteria:
1. You must be a bona fide organisation with charitable purposes
2. Your project must benefit the community
3. Your project must have an impact on community safety and crime reduction
4. Your project must be thoroughly costed
5. Your project must have clear outcomes

Foyle Foundation
Grants are available of between £1,000 and £10,000. to charities, which can demonstrate that such a grants will make a significant difference to their work.
They have a main grants scheme for Arts. Another for Learning along with a smaller grants scheme. There are no deadlines for submissions they are dealt with on a rolling basis within four months but they do not advise you if you have been unsuccessful, you should therefore apply well in advance of your requirements.

Employees Community Fund

Grants are available up to £12,000 for organisations within the voluntary and faith sector to help target workless-ness and to move individuals towards employment, do you support excluded groups i.e. disabled people, lone parents, over 50`s, BME communities, Young People not in education.

Comic Relief Older Peoples Programme

Applications are invited from voluntary and community sector were older people aged 65+
Who are developing ideas for action and change, the programme aims to support older people that make a positive change to their community, help older people feel less isolated, older carers and people on low incomes.

Liverpool One Foundation

Grants are available in the St. Helens Area for Health, Children and Young People projects  should meet the following themes: Prevention and Relief of poverty, Education and Skills, Social and Community Advancement, Health,   Grants are for £250 to £5000 in any 12 months.
