This fund has two broad areas of funding, research into Multiple Sclerosis: Women and Children to alleviate social deprivation.
Trustees meet in September to consider applications, if your application is successful you will be notified immediately after the meeting has taken place.

Sita (Enhancing Communities Programme)
Enhancing Communities is the theme for the funding programme for community improvement projects, the small grants scheme has a fast track process for applications for funding of up to £10,000 with the overall cost being no more than £20,000

Heart Research UK – Healthy Hearts Grants
This grant supports innovative projects designed to promote heart health and to prevent or reduce the risk of heart disease in specific groups or communities.
Previous recipients include a group that teaches circus skills to teenagers, as a way to get active, and belly dancing and line dancing classes for local residents
Applications accepted in July and August for the grants awarded in November

Comic Relief Older Peoples Fund
(This is different fund from the one on the last months notice)
Applications are invited from Voluntary and community sector were older people aged 65+ who are developing ideas for action and change, the programmes aims to support older people that make a positive change to their community, the guidelines have some small changes, check these out before applying
Grants are available of between £15000 and £40.000

St.Helens Listen Fund
Grants of £500-£1000.are being awarded to organisations wishing to develop the local voluntary sector and to contribute to the following themes: Encouraging Volunteers, involving recruiting, training, retaining volunteers or increased level of skills for existing volunteers. As well as the main aims potential projects need to focus around one of the following:
Children and Young People, Arts and Culture, Health and Wellbeing, Environment, Employable Communities, Community Cohesion
