Health Body looking to appoint Clinical and Lay members
Halton Clinical Commissioning Group, the new NHS body responsible for buying, planning and monitoring of local NHS services, want to appoint members to sit on their Governing body board.
Halton CCG is currently working in shadow form as they move towards being authorised as a statutory organisation, the members who sit on the governing body will bring an understanding to the role and represent the interests of local people.
There are six positions that the CCG are looking to fill, they are:
Registered Nurse
Deputy Chair who will be a Lay Member
3 Lay Members who will champion Patient and Public Involvement A Secondary Care Doctor
The terms of office for these roles will be for three years with members asked to devote around two and a half days a month to Governing Body responsibilities.
Dr Cliff Richards, Chair of Halton CCG said, ‘The lay and clinical members who sit on the Governing Body board will have a real input into the services we commission. They will represent the people of Halton and make a genuine contribution to patient care and underpin the work of the CCG.’
