'Walk the Extra Mile' with Diabetes UK!
 

Diabetes UK North West is hosting a special sponsored walk in St Helens to help raise vital funds for diabetes research.

The event is called ‘Walk the Extra Mile’ and takes place at Sherdley Park in St Helens on 12 September from 1pm to 3pm.

The mile-and-a-half walk is open to anyone from the North West who wants to take part and is suitable for all the family!

Diabetes UK's inspirational President, Richard Lane, will be opening the Walk and will be sharing with us his remarkable story about being one of the first people in the UK to receive an islet cell transplant.

The walk is guaranteed to be a super fun day out and will support an important cause which affects over 300,000 people in the North West.

Plus, all walkers will receive a sponsorship pack and a Diabetes UK finishers medal!
