FREE Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

2 Session being run: 09:30 - 12:30 and 13:00 - 16:30

at The Foundry, Widnes

This workshop is recommended for all staff and volunteers working with the general public, or with children and young people vulnerable adults and their families. Through the work of the drama company, Geese Theatre, scenarios will be enacted and characters will interact with the audience. These half day training courses promote the message that safeguarding children and young people and vulnerable adults is everyone’s responsibility.

Pre-course requirement:

For all course participants they should know who to report a safeguarding concern to within their own organisation before attending this workshop.

Aims of the Day:

  • To develop a basic awareness of HSCB Pan-Cheshire Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children Procedures and the Safeguarding Adults in Halton, Interagency Policies and Procedures
  • To know what your responsibilities are when a child or young person or vulnerable adult discloses abuse to you or you are concerned that someone may be at risk
  • To know what you should do and what you should not do when you have a child safeguarding or adult safeguarding concern
  • To know when you must share confidential information
