Homestart St Helens have a new Volunteer Training Programme starting on Tuesday 26th September, 10 am to 2:30 pm. It will run every Tuesday for 8 weeks. Home-Start St Helens supports local families with young children throughout the Borough of St Helens. They offer friendship, support and practical help in times of family difficulty to help improve the quality of life and healthy well-being of children and their parents... Merseyside Youth Association Limited in partnership with Mersey Care are seeking to recruit an Employment Mentor. The successful candidates will be required to support Health Education Englands Investment in entry level Vocational Learning Developments to assist the pipeline of employment within NHS Trusts. Paediatric Therapies Review – Have Your Say NHS St Helens Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are working in partnership with North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, to review the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Sunflower services provided for the children and young people of St Helens. They would like to know your views on the current services and how they could be improved going forward... Halton Disability Partnership Relaunch Halton Disability Partnership are holding a relaunch event on September 27th to showcase the support that they can offer to disabled people and their families in Halton. HDP provides a range of services including welfare and benefits support, making a lasting power of attorney, and recruiting social care personal assistants. The event will be held at All Saints Church on Church Street in Runcorn from 10:00am until 1:00pm... Fundraising Job Opportunity at Stick 'n' Step Stick 'n' Step are looking for an experienced fundraiser (with paid or voluntary experience) to join the dynamic fundraising team, and to help to generate the income that required to allow the classroom team to continue their incredible work. What's happening in Halton? - Social Isolation Event Healthwatch Halton are holding 2 events to let local people know about fun activities and clubs they can join in with. The first event will be at Widnes Market on Wednesday 1st November 10am-3pm, with the second event taking place on Tuesday 1st December at Runcorn Shopping City 10am-3pm. We would love to hear from Halton clubs, groups and organisations who run fun activities such as lunch clubs, art or exercise classes... Engagement And Inclusion Officer - Families And Disabled People The Engagement and Inclusion Officer – Families and Disabled People will work within the Committee for Social Responsibility department of the Diocese of Chester. The role is to enable, support and resource parishes engaging in social action, particularly in relation to work: with parents and children facing disadvantage; supporting engagement in family life and awareness; acceptance and celebration of disabled people... The Forum meets six monthly to share information, discuss issues, monitoring and anything else to do with volunteering. The meetings are informal and enjoyable. We hope you will feel able to participate. Should you feel it would be helpful or appropriate for your role as a Volunteer Manager/Co-ordinator, please come along on the above date. If you would like to attend... Volunteer Centre Halton Volunteer Recruitment Fair 2017 - Tuesday 17th October 11-2pm. The event will be held at Riverside College, Widnes. The fair will be a market place style event, for the most part, however, we would like to make the event as exciting and interactive as possible, so please feel free to be creative when considering how you might engage with the public. We would like to request that your stand is manned for the whole time so that the last visitor has as good an experience as the first one...
